There are a number of relatively large NRI communities around the world and South Africa is one of those with an estimated 1.2 million non-resident Indians living in the country. The history and the future of South Africa will all be tainted by the various racial issues across the region and while progress has certainly been made with regards to the economy in recent times, the signs are that the next couple of years could be challenging to say the least.
