Emergency Certificates Issued for NRIs in Saudi Arabia

The government of India has commenced the verification and issuance of Emergency Certificates to its citizens to allow them passage from Saudi Arabia to return home as a result of the implementation of the Nitaqat. The Nitaqat is the new employment policy being instituted by the Gulf Kingdom.

The schedule was to deliver the first batch of Emergency Certificates to the Indian Embassy in Riyadh. There are 12, 000 certificates to be issued in the central embassy while another 3,000 is to be scheduled in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. [click to continue…]
